Free-agent forward Moe Wagner has signed a deal with the Orlando Magic for the rest of the season, the team announced.

Wagner has played with Washington and Boston this season. He averaged seven points and three rebounds in 25 games with the Wizards while he played nine games for the Celtics.

The 23-year-old German was picked up by the LA Lakers in the 2018 NBA Draft as the 25th overall pick and spent one season with purple-and-yellow, logging 43 games.

The Orlando Magic had high ambitions for this season but due to numerous injuries and bad streaks of results, decided to change the rout and go into ‘rebuilding mode’.

As a result, they traded away their three leading stars in Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier. At the moment, they are among the four teams with less than 20 wins (18-43) and rank last in the Eastern Conference.
