LeBron James the most insulted person on Twitter, according to study

LeBron James: Superstar, NBA champion, MVP, Olympic gold medalist, philanthropist… and the athlete that gets by far the most online abuse.

According to a study by Pickswise that used Twitter data from June 2020 to June 2021, James is the sports person that receives more insults than anyone else. By a huge margin.

Overall, there were 122,568 abusive messages directed to LeBron James during this period of 12 months, which is almost four times more than Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford who is in the second place with 32,328.

Brooklyn Nets’ Kevin Durant is fourth with 24,370 offensive messages while Portland Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard stands at the sixth spot with 20,904. Other basketball players that are featured in the list are Golden State Warriors’ Steph Curry (ninth with 11,203), Brooklyn Nets’ James Harden (15th with 9,220) and Kyrie Irving (17th with 7,860).
