The Golden State Warriors have waived Serbian forward Alen Smailagic, the team confirmed Wednesday.
Smailagic, a second-round pick in the 2019 NBA draft for the New Orleans Pelicans had two more non-guaranteed seasons remaining on his deal with the team.
He appeared in 15 games with the Warriors in the 2020-21 season, in which he posted an average of 1.9 points, 1.1 rebounds across five minutes on the court, before moving to Santa Cruz Warriors in the G-League.
