Dallas Mavericks forward Maxi Kleber has entered NBA’s health and safety protocols for COVID-19, per the team’s injury report. He’s the third Mavericks player to be placed in the protocols after Josh Green and Reggie Bullock.

Kleber is added to a very long list of players that have entered the protocols recently. The NBA is facing a coronavirus crisis with several players being sidelined for COVID-19 related reasons.

There are currently 76 players in the protocols. The NBA postponed several games already and more are expected to be shut down.

The Mavericks are coming off two straight losses to the Los Angeles Lakers and the Minnesota Timberwolves and will face the latter again on 21/12 with several absences, including superstar Luka Doncic. The Slovenian forward is still out due to left ankle soreness after he aggravated a previous injury in a defeat to the Indiana Pacers (8/12).

Kristaps Porzingis (right toe soreness) is questionable vs. the Timberwolves.
