Kristaps Porzingis has entered NBA’s COVID-19 health and safety protocols, per the Dallas Mavericks’ injury report ahead of the game vs. Denver Nuggets Monday (3/1). The Latvian big man joins Trey Burke, Boban Marjanovic, JaQuori McLaghlin and Isaiah Thomas on the Mavericks’ protocols list.

Porzingis gets sidelined after his most productive stretch this season. He averaged 24.1 points, 8.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 blocks over the previous 10 games he played while registering a season-high 34 points in a win over the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Mavericks have just welcomed back Luka Doncic on the active roster after the Slovenian star missed 10 games due to a knee injury and then COVID-19. Despite being far from 100 percent ready and while not feeling completely well, he almost recorded a triple-double with 16 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds in a win over the Oklahoma City Thunder Sunday (2/1).
