Bogdan Bogdanovic on big display: I had to do something so I just played freely

Bogdan Bogdanovic had a slower start to the Game 2 against the Miami Heat but certainly made up for it in the final stages of the match, almost sparking a complete comeback for the Atlanta Hawks.

However, his 29 points, including a lot of tough shots from range, weren’t enough and the Hawks now find themselves down 0-2 but the series switches to Atlanta.

“I felt I wasn’t aggressive enough at the beginning, I got into foul trouble quickly. I felt like I had to do something so I just played freely, honestly. But it doesn’t matter now. Still 0-2, the first game was a terrible game, now a good game but it doesn’t matter, 0-2. So, a new start,” Bogdanovic said.

He also praised the Miami Heat for their experience and the way they play, especially so on the defensive end of the floor. He counts on the energy of the fans at home to bring his team over the hump.

“They’re a really experienced team and they really show the way that every team should play at home. They use the energy from the crowd, it’s really tough to play against them here but we’ve gotta do the same at home. We know how the Atlanta Hawks fans are treating us during the season and I know that, for the playoffs, it’s gonna be even better. I’m excited to play in front of our fans.”
