Denver, Milwaukee, and Chicago reportedly interested in Micic

It’s not a secret that there’s NBA interest for two-times EuroLeague champion Vasilije Micic and per Bleacher Report, three playoffs teams, the Denver Nuggets, the Milwaukee Bucks, and the Chicago Bulls are interested in his case.

All teams have ties with Europe and it makes more than sense to bet on Micic. Nikola Jokic is the star of Denver, a teammate of Micic in the Serbian national team and they share the same agent in Misko Raznatovic. The Bucks due to the success they are having with Greek superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo are always keeping an eye on Europe and Lithuanian Arturas Karsisovas is the GM of the Bulls.

Per the report: “With Denver having acquired the No. 30 pick, league sources expect the Nuggets will target a point guard such as Gonzaga ball-handler Andrew Nembhard. Denver has engaged various teams in trade conversations regarding Monte Morris, the sturdy reserve point guard who filled in as its starter with Jamal Murray sidelined for the season.

Some rival executives were prepared for Morris to be replaced by Serbian point guard Vasilije Micic, whose rights are held by OKC, as part of the Green trade. Micic, 28, led Turkish club Anadolu Efes to the 2020-21 EuroLeague title while winning the EuroLeague MVP and has garnered trade interest from several playoff teams, such as Milwaukee and Chicago, sources said”.

It goes without saying that Micic is not interested in joining the rebuilding OKC, which is loaded in the point guard position, so only if a trade of his rights happens, he would end up in the NBA.
