Vasilije Micic pushes for a trade, but OKC is not giving him up easily

After two EuroLeague titles with Anadolu Efes and two Final Four MVP awards, Vasilije Micic is currently considered the more NBA-ready player in Europe.

And that seems to be a problem in his case. While he doesn’t want to be part of a rebuilding process with the Oklahoma City Thunder and there’s reported interest for him from Denver, Milwaukee, Chicago, and San Antonio, especially after the Dejounte Murray trade to Atlanta, the Thunder are keeping his rights.

Micic’s camp pushes for a trade, however, OKC doesn’t want to give him up practically for free or just for a second-round draft pick.

That complicates things and Micic can’t do much more than waiting until there’s a suitor willing to proceed to a deal that would satisfy the Thunder.

Meanwhile, Anadolu Efes has a contract with him – which includes of course an NBA out clause – and hopes that time works in their favor.

Efes is on the quest to win for a third consecutive season the EuroLeague title, a rare feat that hasn’t been done in Europe for the last 30 years.
