A chance to compete for a roster spot at the Indiana Pacers is likely to surface for Deividas Sirvydis.

Sirvydis, 22, will sign with the Pacers, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. The contract is not expected to be guaranteed, thus leading the Lithuanian swingman to make a bid for a place on the starting roster for the 2022-23 NBA Regular Season during the preseason.

In an impressive display stretching through the 2022 NBA2K23 Summer League, he averaged 15.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.8 blocks, and 0.3 steals per contest. The projected reward is Indiana’s training camp.

In 2019, the Dallas Mavericks selected Sirvydis with the 37th pick of the NBA draft. His NBA rights were immediately traded to the Detroit Pistons. Logging 20 appearances in the 2020-21 season shaped his first stint and adding three more last season upped his total of games played to 23. Averaging 1.9 points, 1.5 rebounds, 0.3 assists, and 0.2 steals over seven minutes per contest paint the statistical picture of his efforts in the NBA.

The former international player at the junior level with Lithuania spent most of the 2021-22 season in the G League playing for Detroit’s affiliate, the Motor City Cruise. He produced 12.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.2 blocks per contest.

Back in Europe, professional experience includes the Basketball Champions League and 7DAYS EuroCup. A youth product of Rytas, he turned pro with the team based in Vilnius and moved to Israel’s Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem at the bottom end of the 2019-20 season.
