The season of international action with Luka Doncic and more NBA superstars getting ready to compete for medals in the 2022 EuroBasket. But Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban expectably focusing on the next NBA season includes the Slovenian sensation and intentions to add a new move.

“It was crazy what we talked about adding. So, we will see,” revealed Cuban in a recent interview with Taylor Rooks of Bleacher Report, “I don’t want to jinx somebody, but if you see something, you’re going ‘Where the hell did that come from,’ you’ll know that’s what it was.”

“It’s a move,” he added, “Two things. That move that will not be disclosed, and I think he’s gonna learn how to use the backboard. I think that’s gonna be a thing in the NBA, where you see guys who are athletic throwing the ball off the backboard and finishing with the dunk, but I think strategically you’re gonna see it added into the NBA. I think Luka is going to benefit.”

Doncic, 23, guiding the Mavericks to the Western Conference Finals in the 2022 Playoffs was a step in the right direction, as described by Cuban. Adding a second star to play alongside the franchise leader is not part of the current plan though.

“We hadn’t been out of the first round in ten years and so a lot of it was execution and talking to our guys during the series, that was the thing that kept coming up,” he suggested regarding the best-of-seven series against the Golden State Warriors, “So I think for us it’s not so much we need that second star or whatever, it’s more, let’s just get some time and experience in crunch time situations in the playoffs and that will pay off.”
