Pistons finalizing deal to acquire Bojan Bogdanovic

The Detroit Pistons appear to be close to acquiring Bojan Bogdanovic from the Utah Jazz. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the two clubs are finalizing a deal for a trade that will send the Croatian forward to the Pistons in exchange for big man Kelly Olynyk and guard Saben Lee.

After three years in Salt Lake City, Bogdanovic was set to be traded by the Jazz that are undergoing a major rebuilding phase this offseason. Multiple teams were reported to be interested in the 33-year-old veteran, including the Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns.

The Jazz have already given star duo Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves respectively, getting in return several draft picks and also Lauri Markkanen.

2021-22 marked one of the top individual seasons for Bogdanovic. He averaged 18.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in the regular season, plus 18.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists over six playoff matches.
