The Dallas Mavericks considering signing guard Facu Campazzo according to Encestando and NBA reporter Marc Stein. Campazzo has been a free agent after he was cut by the Denver Nuggets last summer.

Campazzo averaged 5.6 points, 3.5 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 20.1 minutes over 130 regular season games during his two-year stint with the Nuggets. While he remains available in the market, he’s been reported to be a target of EuroLeague sides like former club Real Madrid and Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahce Beko.

If the Mavericks do indeed add Campazzo, they will prompt a reunion between the Argentinian guard and Luka Doncic. The two of them were teammates at Real Madrid during 2017-18 when the Blancos won the EuroLeague and ACB championship titles. They often shared the floor with successful results, complementing each other’s strengths.

Campazzo spent two more years with Real after Doncic’s departure and took the torch as the team’s leader. In 2019, he helped the Spanish powerhouse win the ACB while being named Finals MVP.
