Tyler Dorsey in danger of being cut from Dallas

By Aris Barkas/ barkas@eurohoops.net

After a stellar EuroLeague season and his first Final Four appearance, Tyler Dorsey despite having lucrative offers from Europe preferred to chase his dream and return to the NBA by signing a two-way contract with the Dallas Mavericks.

However, per Eurohoops sources, Dorsey’s season may end before it starts and despite having a two-way contract, Dallas is seriously thinking of releasing him.

If that’s the case, then Dorsey, who will be fully compensated, can either remain in the States and play in the G-League waiting for another NBA chance, or return to Europe, where his value is different.

It’s a well-known fact that for Dorsey the NBA remains a priority, however, if he gets released, everything might be up in the air.

It has to be noted that the possible addition of Facu Campazzo is not related directly to the fate of Dorsey since Campazzo is expected to sign a regular NBA contract and take the last open spot in the roster of the team, a move that does not affect two-way contracts.
