Sitting at 14-5 in the NBA Regular Season, the latest win for the Milwaukee Bucks was at the expense of the Dallas Mavericks and Luka Doncic.

Giannis Antetokounmpo posted a 30-point, 11-rebound double-double in the European main event of the latest edition of NBA Sundays. Praised by the Slovenian guard in the aftermath of the contest, his response added to the bromance, based on the mutual respect between the European superstars.

“It’s hard because I want to win, so it’s hard to go against a guy like that,” said Doncic after the fourth loss in a row for the Mavs, “He’s the best player in the NBA right now. He’s almost impossible to stop. It’s really fun to see him play, but it’s not that fun to go against him.”

“That’s a great compliment. I appreciate it,” replied the Freak in the next room, “When you play against the best players in the league, being able to say something like that. It feels good. No matter wins or losses, just being respected by your peers, it’s always a good feeling.”

“I always love playing against the best players in the league. He is an incredible player, incredible talent, arguably one of the most talented players I’ve ever seen in my lifetime. It’s unbelievable what he can do for himself and his team,” added Antetokounmpo, “It’s always great going against players like that.”

Doncic, 23, put up a 27-point, 12-assist double-double of his own but did not prevent the team’s fall to 9-10.

“He improves every day. He works really hard, you can see it,” said the Mavericks leader in more praise for his counterpart on the Bucks, “He works on everything. He works on his shot, and he’s gotten better at a lot of things. He just gets better every day.”

Not long to the next meeting of Doncic and Antetokounmpo, less than two weeks away. The reverse regular-season fixture is scheduled to be held in American Airlines Center on 9 December.
