Despite the 126-117 loss against the New Orleans Pelicans, Jeremy Sochan had a brilliant night for the San Antonio Spurs, silencing the critics of his game in the first part of the NBA Regular Season.

The Polish forward had a career-high night with 23 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, and 1 steal.

“I am becoming more comfortable and confident. I had career highs tonight but we still lost, so it doesn’t really matter”, the 19-year-old Baylor product said after the loss.

He became the first San Antonio Spurs rookie with this stat line since David Robinson in 1989-90 and Tim Duncan in 1997-98.

The #9 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft is averaging 8.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists while shooting 46.5% from the field.

He has also captured the media’s attention with his one-handed free-throw shooting form, but against the Pelicans, he scored 7/10 at the charity stripe.
