Pouring 29 points as the Cleveland Cavaliers routed the Los Angeles Clippers, Cedi Osman matched his best scoring outing in the NBA and also his overall career-high counting experience at the club level in Europe.

“Even if I shot from halfcourt, I felt it would just go in,” he noted during the postgame press conference.

“Big props to my teammates because they were finding me every time,” he spread his praise following a team effort of 35 assists against the Clippers at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in the latest edition of NBA Sundays.

“It feels great. Obviously, the confidence goes up. What I was very happy about, everybody was really cheering for me. They were supporting me no matter what. After every three, our bench was up. That’s something that I can’t take for granted,” added the Turkish small forward, “That’s why I really appreciate it.”

Osman, 27, made all his seven shots from beyond the arc and ended up with 11/13 field goals, including an easy layup ultimately preventing him from accessing a new personal best for points in a single game. However, he did not aggressively seek the new record late in the fourth quarter.

“At the end of the game, it was a 30-point game with a couple of seconds left, I didn’t see any reason just to go in and score two points. I felt it would be disrespectful towards the Clippers,” he commented.
