Bojan Bogdanovic likely to stay with Pistons

The word around the NBA has been that the Detroit Pistons may be willing to trade Bojan Bogdanovic, depending on the assets they’re going to get in return. According to one of the latest reports, the Croatian forward will most likely stay where he is this season.

While referring to Bojan Bogdanovic and the Los Angeles Lakers’ interest in him, Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports wrote that: “… Bojan Bogdanovic, whom rival teams are starting to believe Detroit actually will retain through Thursday’s 3 p.m. deadline.”

The Pistons were reported to require at least an unprotected first-round pick to begin, in exchange for Bogdanovic. The club is generally quite pleased with the veteran player’s performances (21.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists this season) and his influence as a leader of the team’s younger players, hence why there hasn’t been any actual eagerness to trade him.

The Lakers were talking with the Pistons to potentially acquire Bogdanovic and add some extra scoring punch to their roster. But, right now, their priority may be to work towards getting Kyrie Irving from the Brooklyn Nets.
