Croatian Bojan Bogdanovic would surely like more wins with the Detroit Pistons. Since returning to action and debuting in the 2023-24 NBA Regular Season just over one month ago, his efforts over 15 outings have been combined with one win. Overall at a league-low 3-31, his side lost to the Utah Jazz in overtime on Thursday.

“It is kind of hard to lose these games when we are right there, especially given our record,” was the reaction of the experienced small forward, “At the end, I think a lot of turnovers cost us the game.”

Bogdanovic, 34, improved his season-high to 36 points behind 13/26 field goals, including 8/15 three-pointers in Delta Center. He also tallied seven rebounds, five assists, and one steal lasting 43 minutes before fouling out with the game slipping away late in the extra period. “I am not even tired,” he said describing his physical condition after a demanding contest.

The Pistons also lost to the Boston Celtics in overtime last Thursday. Bouncing back against the Toronto Raptors and notching the third win of the season was followed by losing efforts on the road opposite the Houston Rockets and Jazz. Taking on the Golden State Warriors on Friday and the Denver Nuggets on the upcoming edition of NBA Sundays completes the four-game stretch away from Detroit.

Bogdanovic is averaging 19.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per contest in his tenth NBA campaign and second with the Pistons.
