Danilo Gallinari started the season with the Washington Wizards, got traded to the Detroit Pistons, but will finish the season with a third team.

As Shams Charania from The Athletic reported, the Pistons are waiving the experienced Italian forward, who is expected to begin free-agent meetings.

Gallinari made 32 appearances this season, averaging 7.3 points and 2.8 rebounds on 35.5% shooting from beyond the arc. As an almost 16-year NBA veteran, he could be an important asset to playoff-contending teams.

The 35-year-old forward was drafted in 2008 by the New York Knicks as the 6th overall pick and later played for the Denver Nuggets, LA Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Atlanta Hawks before joining the Wizards last summer.
