Luka Doncic named NBA Player of the Week for 11th time

Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic was named the NBA Player of the Week in the Western Conference. This is the 11th time that the Slovenian player has claimed the award, since his first accolade in 2019-20.

No other NBA player has won as many Player of the Week awards during that period, per Mavs PR.

Doncic averaged 31.3 points, 10.5 rebounds and 8.0 assists over four wins over the Oklahoma City Thunder at home and the New York Knicks, the Brooklyn Nets and the Philadelphia 76ers on the road. He had his top performance at the Knicks, with 39 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds.

So far in the 2023-24 season, Doncic is averaging 34.5 points, 9.4 assists and 8.8 rebounds while the Mavericks are 30 – 23 and eighth in the Western Conference standings.
