Talented French player Bilal Coulibaly will miss the remainder of the regular NBA season due to a right wrist fracture, as officially announced.

After playing 63 games for the Washington Wizards in his rookie season, the 7th overall pick from the previous NBA Draft suffered an injury, which will be treated conservatively, after he fell during the game on March 16 in Chicago.

With the Wizards already eliminated from playoff contention with a dismal 11-57 record, the former Metropolitans 92 player won’t be returning to the court until the 2024/25 NBA season.

After playing in France alongside Victor Wembanyama, the 19-year-old swingman joined the Wizards last summer. In 63 regular-season appearances, he averaged 8.4 points and 4.1 rebounds. His best scoring performance came in a loss to the Boston Celtics when the talented Frenchman scored 21 points.
