Dallas and Doncic with the 2-1 lead after dogfight with the Thunder

After a close game that was decided on details, the Dallas Mavericks got the lead in the third period and never lost it until the end.

The Mavs beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 105-101 with Luka Doncic making big plays down the stretch for a total of 22 points, 15 rebounds, and seven assists, having to battle all game long the strong defensive effort of Lu Dort.

P.J. Washington with 27 points and six rebounds was the top scorer of the winners, while Kyrie Irving also scored 22 points.

For the losing side, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a game to remember with 31 points, 10 rebounds, six rebounds and five blocks.

Still, it was not enough and during the last minute of the game, he missed a crucial three, which could have tied the game at 102 and then he committed an offensive foul to Luka Doncic.

He tried to redeem himself with a steal with just 12 seconds left, but couldn’t do much more. Jalen Williams added 16 points and eight assists.

With the upcoming Game 4 being held in Dallas, the Mavs can get a 3-1 lead and make a huge step towards the Western Conference finals.
