In the last four games played in the NBA Regular Season, the Portland Trail Blazers haven’t found defeats. The same happened in their latest appointment, beating 121-102 the Nets in Brooklyn.
One of the protagonists of the team’s recent winning stretch is definitely the 24-year-old Belgian forward Toumani Camara, who contributed with 19 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists against the Brooklyn Nets.
In February, when the Portland Trail Blazers registered an 8-4 record trying to reduce the gap to close by on the concurrency for the Play-Ins, he has been averaging 12.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 2.1 steals per game, shooting 51.5% from the field and 93.8% at the line.
Yet to debut with the Belgian national team, following the country’s official qualification for FIBA EuroBasket 2025, he might represent Belgium this summer.
His only experience with the Belgian national team’s jersey belongs to the Division B of the 2016 FIBA U16 European Championship when as a teenager he averaged 2.4 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.
Selected with the 52nd pick in the 2023 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns after living his college experience from 2019 to 2023 with the Georgia Bulldogs and the Dayton Flyers, he was moved a few months later to the Portland Trail Blazers as part of the Jusuf Nurkic-DeAndre Ayton trade.
