After the Boston Celtics from 2017 to 2019, Guerschon Yabusele ended up in China’s CBA before emerging as a dominant force in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and becoming a champion with Real Madrid. An entirely different situation is likely following the 2024-25 campaign with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Yabusele, 29, is set to become an unrestricted free agent in the NBA during the offseason.
“I heard a little bit of the rumors about the money that I think they have for the summer,” he shared in a recent interview with HoopsHype, referring to the Sixers potentially offering him a new contract, “I feel comfortable. I’m happy that they like me here and are happy with my work. Every day, when I come in, I try to give my best on the court, fight every possession, and leave a good mark.”
“I’ve never been in that situation, so I have no idea how this will be, but I’m pretty excited to see the summer coming and see what we’ll have on the table. Of course, it’s going to be a long conversation,” added the French big, “I’m going to take my time and see what the options are. Having that option and chance to be back here is definitely something I love to hear.”
On a one-year contract, his efforts have went into 10.7 points per contest in the Regular Season. He has logged 55 appearances so far, including 28 features in the starting lineup of Nick Nurse.
