Witnessing some difficulties in his first few months in the most competitive league in the world after being selected with the No.1 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Zaccharie Risachar showed signs of significant growth towards the end of his first campaign.

Overall, he concluded the 2024-25 season with 12.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game with the Atlanta Hawks, including 15.1 points per game over his last 10 appearances in the league.

During the NBA Summer League, Atlanta’s General Manager touched on the French talent’s late improvements. “We couldn’t be happier with Zacch and how he has developed,” Onsi Saleh said.

“He has gotten his body so right, especially given how young he is. I saw him in the summertime and he looked like he put on some more weight,” he added, as reported by Kevin Chouinard.

Moreover, the former JL Bourg-en-Bresse sensation was called up to the French national team’s 18-man extended list ahead of FIBA EuroBasket 2025.

That would be the first major International event with the senior national team for Zaccharie Risacher, who played at youth level with France in the U16 European Challengers, U17 and U19 World Cups.
