Despite interest from Panathinaikos, the Denver Nuggets have officially announced Jonas Valančiūnas as their new player.

Coach David Adelman recently expressed excitement about the Lithuanian center joining the team, and now the Executive Vice President of the Colorado franchise, Ben Tenzer, has addressed the situation, confirming Valančiūnas’ commitment.

Nothing but healthy conversations about him honoring his contract and him being excited to be a Denver Nugget,” Tenzer said when asked about communication with the experienced Lithuanian player, according to Brendan Vogt and Katy Winge.

Tenzer also reportedly added that there are “no concerns” about Valančiūnas not playing for Denver.

Before the 2025–26 campaign, in which he is seemingly expected to represent the Nuggets, Valančiūnas remains focused on leading Lithuania at EuroBasket 2025.
