While Giannis Antetokounmpo is currently busy with the Greek national team training camp ahead of the 2025 EuroBasket, there’s a constant question mark regarding his future with the Milwaukee Bucks.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, it’s still unclear whether Antetokounmpo will remain with the Bucks next season or he will move to another team.
“There is nothing set in stone about whether Giannis Antetokounmpo wants to stay in Milwaukee or whether he wants to leave elsewhere. He’s been evaluating his future this entire offseason,” Charania said.
Antetokounmpo has never hidden the fact that he’s interested in playing only for a team that can win an NBA ring As the Greek Freak aims to claim the second championship title in his career, his decision will be determined on whether he believes he can achieve that with the Bucks.
“There’s one big question surrounding Giannis Antetokounmpo and surrounding his camp: Can he win another championship? Is this Bucks roster built for this upcoming season for him to win another championship, his second one? You know how bad he wants to do that,” Charania mentioned.
“Only Giannis Antetokounmpo can make that determination. He wants to do it on his own time,” Charania added.
Several teams have been reported to be on the lookout to acquire Antetokounmpo if he requests to be traded. These clubs include the New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, and the San Antonio Spurs.
