LeBron James reportedly linked to playing in leagues other than the NBA

LeBron James may be entering his last season in the NBA but not the final run of his career overall.

According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, LeBron could be playing basketball beyond the NBA and may continue in another kind of championship.

“I keep hearing people like, ‘this might be the last year, this might be the last year’. Look, he’s been linked to potentially playing in other leagues,” Windhorst said on LeBron’s future during the latest episode of The Hoop Collective podcast. “I don’t know, maybe. But if he stays healthy, I do not see LeBron James slowing down.”

This “other league” doesn’t mean that James will move to Europe or somewhere else overseas. The NBA’s all-time leading scorer has been reported to be planning a new international league, together with his longtime business partner Maverick Carter. This summer, the two of them met with Misko Raznatovic, Nikola Jokic’s agent and top representative of players in the EuroLeague, something that added extra fuel to such speculations.

LeBron may want to boost this new league with his own presence not just from a business standpoint, but as a player on the floor.
