Dealing with various setbacks over recent months, including an early departure from the senior national team of Serbia in EuroBasket due to a hamstring injury and a back injury to start the NBA Preseason 2025, Bogdan Bogdanovic has struggled at the top of the 2025-26 NBA Regular Season with the Los Angeles Clippers.
The 33-year-old Serbian guard has been limited to two appearances with the team coached by Tyronn Lue. In a total of 33 minutes, he went for two points with 1/9 field goals, besides averaging 3.0 rebounds and 0.5 assists per contest.
“We’re going to wait for you. Just take your time, find your rhythm, get your legs, get your conditioning. We’re not going to give up on you by any means necessary,” said 48-year-old Lue in a media session following team practice on Tuesday, referring to slow starts by Bogi and Bradley Beal following injuries, “Just take your time and don’t get frustrated with yourself.”
A veteran of 540 games played in the league, Bogdanovic was traded to the Clippers last February. He spent the five previous years with the Atlanta Hawks and also played with the Sacramento Kings for three years. Back in 2014, three years before his NBA debut, he was drafted by the Phoenix Suns with the 27th overall pick. At Fenerbahce between 2014 and 2017, he was crowned Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion in his third and final season.
At 3-2 in the young Regular Season, the Clippers sit fifth in the Western Conference standings, three games behind unbeaten Oklahoma City Thunder, heading into a back-to-back with matchups opposite the Miami Heat on Monday and the Thunder on Tuesday in Intuit Dome.
