Nine games were played during last night’s NBA action, and European stars didn’t disappoint.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Milwaukee Bucks to a 147-134 win over the Charlotte Hornets, with the Greek Freak flirting with a triple-double.
He finished with 25 points, 18 assists and seven rebounds. The Bucks are now 6–0 in games where Antetokounmpo records at least 15 assists. Moussa Diabaté posted a double-double for the losing side with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
The Houston Rockets crushed the Portland Trail Blazers 140-116 at home, with Alperen Şengün just one assist shy of a triple-double.
The Turkish center scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Deni Avdija had 22 points and 10 boards for Portland. Toumani Camara added 16 points.
The Los Angeles Lakers emerged victorious on the road against the New Orleans Pelicans, winning 118-104, with Luka Dončić once again delivering a strong performance.
The Slovenian star posted 24 points, 12 assists and seven rebounds. Karlo Matković added four points and three rebounds for the Pelicans.
The Orlando Magic took down the Brooklyn Nets 105-98 behind Franz Wagner’s 25 points, while Tristan da Silva added 22 points and nine rebounds. Goga Bitadze scored six points for Orlando, and Egor Demin had eight for Brooklyn.
The LA Clippers recorded a 133-127 road overtime win over the Dallas Mavericks, with their European duo playing a huge role. Ivica Zubac had a double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds, while Bogdan Bogdanović delivered his best game of the season, scoring 21 points and hitting five three-pointers.
Victor Wembanyama posted another double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds, but the San Antonio Spurs suffered a narrow 109-108 defeat to the Golden State Warriors, powered by Steph Curry’s 49 points.
The Minnesota Timberwolves won 124-110 against the Sacramento Kings, with Rudy Gobert contributing 11 points and eight rebounds. Domantas Sabonis’ 34 points and 11 rebounds, along with Dennis Schröder’s 14, weren’t enough for the visitors.
