In a milestone evening for Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks overpowered the Brooklyn Nets, 116-99, to end a seven-game losing streak.

After returning from a left adductor strain on the top of the latest back-to-back in the 2025-26 NBA Regular Season, the Greek superstar added 29 points in Fiserv Forum on Saturday, including reaching 21,000 regular-season points with a three-pointer midway through the third quarter. He emerged as the 42nd player with 21,000 points, and the sixth youngest. Limited to 19 minutes, he connected 12/15 from the field, besides eight rebounds, two steals, and two assists.

“They were on a back-to-back, we were on a back-to-back, but we were fighting for our lives,” mentioned Giannis in a postgame media session, referring to the Bucks trying to get back in the postseason picture.

Logging three minutes in the fourth quarter, with the team coached by Doc Rivers at a safe distance, his brother Thanasis recorded two points with a poster dunk on Ben Saraf. Another Bucks brother, Alex, remained on a G League assignment with the Wisconsin Herd.

For the team coached by Spanish Jordi Fernandez, Israeli Danny Wolf put up a team-high 22 points with 8/16 field goals, including five triples. “That’s good to see, because it can never be given to you. He’s been working. He’s been ready. Now, he did well. It doesn’t mean that he will keep it forever, no, but he took advantage of his minutes,” commented 43-year-old Fernandez, praising the rookie forward in a postgame press conference.

Fellow Israeli reserve, Saraf, went for ten points and seven assists. However, Russian Egor Demin (left plantar fascia tear injury management) was ruled out alongside French Nolan Traore, who stayed with the Long Island Nets.
