A seven-game winning streak in the 2025-26 NBA Regular Season was snapped on Monday, and Luka Doncic was visibly disappointed, especially with his nine turnovers versus the Phoenix Suns in crypto.com Arena.

The 82-game schedule for the team coached by JJ Redick resumes on Thursday to start a three-game road trip, from the Toronto Raptors in Scotiabank Arena to the Boston Celtics in TD Garden on Friday and the Philadelphia 76ers in Xfinity Mobile Arena on Sunday. However, the 26-year-old Slovenian combo guard is currently unprepared for the next challenge.

“I don’t watch much NBA, sorry. I know they have a good record. I love the coach they have. He has them playing physical,” he mentioned in a postgame press conference following the loss to the Suns, referring to the solid Raptors start under the guidance of Serbian play-caller Darko Rajakovic.

To be exact, the lone Canadian franchise in the league is tied with the Miami Heat in third place of the Eastern Conference standings behind a 14-7 tally, three games away from the leaders Detroit Pistons. The Lakers are second in the West, trailing the Oklahoma City Thunder by four games.

Over 16 appearances so far this season, his first full journey with the Lakers, Doncic tallied 35.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, 8.9 assists, 1.6 steals, and 0.5 blocks per contest. In a quick turnaround from his blockbuster trade last February, he is on track for multiple career-highs with his sights set on winning his first NBA championship.
