Malik Beasley denies reports of joining Partizan: “I’m not coming to Serbia”

Serbian outlet Nova reported that Partizan Belgrade and Malik Beasley were close to agreeing on a contract for the long-time NBA player to join the Serbian club.

However, the former Detroit Pistons guard and 2024/25 NBA Sixth Man of the Year runner-up dismissed those claims.

I’m not coming to Serbia,” Beasley said via Twitch.

His agent, Brian Jungreis, speaking to Front Office Sports, admitted that there were talks but called the media reports “exaggerated.”

“We had conversations and some framework, but we’re nowhere close to anything closing or happening at the moment,” Jungreis told FOS.

Beasley was reportedly close to signing a three-year, $42 million deal with the Pistons last summer before he became involved in a federal gambling investigation. The 29-year-old is no longer a target of the investigation but remains a free agent.
