The Atlanta Hawks upgraded Latvian Kristaps Porzingis to day-to-day on Sunday.

Dealing with an illness, the 30-year-old forward/center last played on December 5 and was officially ruled out for two weeks on December 14, and will miss a tenth straight game in the 2025-26 NBA Regular Season since he did not travel with his teammates to Oklahoma City for the meeting with the Thunder in Paycom Center on Monday.

However, his updated status prompts a possible appearance in the following game on Wednesday, opposite the Minnesota Timberwolves in State Farm Arena. So far in his 11th NBA journey, Porzingis has played 13 games, including 12 starts, packing 19.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.6 blocks, and 0.5 steals per contest.

Also, Serbian Bogdan Bogdanovic has been sidelined indefinitely by the Los Angeles Clippers, per insider Joey Linn. He was listed as out due to left hamstring injury management on the official injury report since his early exit from Friday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers in Moda Center after reporting tightness and residual weakness in the area. With his ninth NBA campaign limited by several injuries, the 33-year-old guard has logged 16 appearances, averaging 8.0 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.1 blocks per contest.

Besides numerous setbacks this season, Porzingis and Bogdanovic are also on expiring contracts, projected to be unrestricted free agents this summer. Therefore, being involved in midseason trades up to the deadline on February 5 is much simpler in salary cap terms and favors a possible short-term fix elsewhere in the league, beyond perhaps the Hawks and Clippers actually shopping them to address other roster requirements.
