Giannis Antetokounmpo fell two rebounds shy of a huge triple-double, but the Milwaukee Bucks lost, 108-104, to the Denver Nuggets in Ball Arena on Sunday.

With his side being forced to 17-22 in the 2025-26 NBA Regular Season, the 31-year-old point forward tallied 31 points on 10/17 from the field, 11 assists, eight rebounds, two blocks, and one steal over 33 minutes.

After coming back from a 15-point deficit, a later 14-point hole proved too much to cover for the team coached by Doc Rivers. “I think defensively we just had to set a tone a little bit earlier,” noted Giannis in a postgame media session.

“I think overall we played good basketball. Every game we played, we competed. Could we be better? For sure. Did I want us to finish the road trip, 3-1? Yes. I think that’s always the goal, 75%. But we didn’t. Am I grateful for being 2-2 in this road trip against tough teams? Yes. But I think I’m not comfortable, because we can be better,” he recapped a four-game road trip.

“We’ve got to keep on being better. That’s what I am talking about. We can’t give up the lead. Why should we always be playing from behind? Why? And when we have a lead, why do we always give it up?” he continued, wondering about team struggles stretching to Denver.

The Greek Freak’s brothers went from Thanasis staying on the bench to Alex continuing on his G League assignment with the Wisconsin Herd.

On the winning side, Serbian Nikola Jokic (left knee bone bruise) and Lithuanian Jonas Valanciunas (right calf strain) remained sidelined, but the former was increasingly active in coaching his teammates.
