The Atlanta Hawks have agreed to trade guard Vit Krejci to the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for center Duop Reath and two future second-round draft picks, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Krejci, who has emerged as a reliable perimeter contributor, is averaging 9 points per game while knocking down 2.2 three-pointers on 42.3% shooting from the field. His efficiency places him among the top 20 shooters in the NBA this season, making him an attractive addition for a Portland team looking to bolster its backcourt depth.
For Atlanta, the move is as much about flexibility as it is about assets. By moving Krejci’s contract, the Hawks create additional roster space while continuing to stockpile draft capital. According to ESPN’s Bobby Marks, Atlanta now controls seven future second-round picks, giving the front office increased maneuverability for future trades or draft-night moves.
