Alperen Sengun will replace Shai in Team World of the All-Star Game

Alperen Sengun will be in the All-Star Game. The Turkish Houston Rockets center has been named by Adam Silver to replace Shai in Team World on February 15th.

Sengun will participate in his second All-Star in a row after being selected in the 2025 edition as a backup. The Turkish big man, 23, is averaging 20.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game in the 2025/26 season to lead the Houston Rockets to the 4th place in the Western Conference (32-19).

Sengun will join Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Deni Avdija (Portland Trail Blazers), Luka Doncic (Los Angeles Lakers), Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets), Jamal Murray (Denver Nuggets), Pascal Siakam (Indiana Pacers), Karl-Anthony Towns (New York Knicks), and Victor Wembanyama (San Antonio Spurs) in Team World.

The 75th All-Star Game will take place on Feb. 15 at the Inuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., marking the debut of the U.S. vs. World format.
