Following several injury setbacks from the start of the 2025-26 NBA Regular Season, Bogdan Bogdanovic has struggled to find a consistent role with the Los Angeles Clippers and remains out of the rotation amid ongoing rotation adjustments. Countering any anticipation of uncertainty or displeasure surrounding the Serbian sharpshooter, head coach Tyronn Lue once more praised his player while updating his status ahead of the final stretch of the regular-season schedule.

“Just good to have him around, just his vibes and who he is as a player, just who he is as a person. Having him back around the team was good,” said the 48-year-old play-caller during a meeting with reporters following team practice on Wednesday.

“Being in a good flow, a good rhythm, continue to just keep working,” he furthered, describing his conversations with Bogi. “When it’s your time, I’ll let you know. I will not just throw you out there. If we have opportunities, we will let you know, but right now let’s see that rotation, and stay ready.”

A former Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion with Fenerbahce in 2017, the Belgrade native has logged 555 NBA appearances over the last nine years. That total includes 17 games this season, where he has averaged 7.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.1 blocks per contest.

Fellow experienced European import, Frenchman Nicolas Batum, sat out the last two games before the All-Star break. However, he will be back in action starting with Thursday’s clash against the Denver Nuggets at Intuit Dome.

“Nico wasn’t out of the rotation. I just gave him a couple of games off,” explained Lue. “He’ll be back on the floor tomorrow.”
