Two of the hottest teams in the league met at Little Caesars Arena, where the Eastern Conference-leading Detroit Pistons hosted the San Antonio Spurs. However, it was the visitors who secured an impressive 114–103 road win, with Victor Wembanyama playing a pivotal role.
The French star finished with 21 points, 17 rebounds, six blocks and four assists, while Devin Vassell added 28 points to lead the Spurs.
Elsewhere, the Houston Rockets defeated the Utah Jazz 125–105, as Alperen Sengun flirted with a triple-double, posting 16 points, nine rebounds and nine assists.
For the Jazz, Lauri Markkanen poured in 29 points, while Svi Mykhailiuk contributed three. Jusuf Nurkic remains out for the season due to injury.
In the final game of the night, the Sacramento Kings earned a 123–114 road victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. Max Raynaud recorded a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds for Sacramento. On the other side, Rayan Rupert finished with 10 points and nine boards.
