In an offensive display for the ages, Bam Adebayo etched his name into the NBA record books on Tuesday, exploding for 83 points to lead the Miami Heat to a dominant 150–129 victory over the Washington Wizards in Kaseya Center. His performance now stands as the second-highest individual scoring effort in league history, trailing only Wilt Chamberlain’s legendary 100-point game.

The 28-year-old center established his dominance early, racking up 31 points in the opening frame before heading into the halftime break with 43. By the end of the third quarter, he had reached 62. He shot 20-of-43 from the field and showed unusual range by hitting 7-of-22 from beyond the arc. His true impact, however, came at the charity stripe, where he capitalized on Washington’s inability to contain him by converting 36 of his 43 free-throw attempts.

While Adebayo grabbed the headlines, Erik Spoelstra’s squad benefited from a strong European presence. Italian forward Simone Fontecchio provided a massive spark in his return from a groin injury, scoring 18 points on near-perfect 6-of-7 shooting. Swedish starter Pelle Larsson added ten points to the tally, while Lithuanian rookie Kasparas Jakucionis contributed five points to the starting unit. Russian center Vladislav Goldin saw limited action, and Serbian forward Nikola Jovic remained out due to back injury management.

The Wizards struggled to counter the onslaught despite a 28-point effort from French big man Alex Sarr. Fellow French starter Bilal Coulibaly added ten points, and Serbian reserve Tristan Vukcevic chipped in three in his return from a thigh injury.

This historic win pushed the Heat to a 37–29 record in the 2025-26 Regular Season, reducing the Wizards to 16-48.
