Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo has been diagnosed with a hyperextended left knee and a bone bruise, per ESPN’s Shams Charania on Tuesday, and he will be reevaluated in one week.
Antetokounmpo, 31, landed awkwardly after a dunk during the third quarter of Sunday’s home game against the Indiana Pacers.
Milwaukee (28-40) remains in 11th place in the Eastern Conference, trailing the Charlotte Hornets by 6½ games for 10th place and the final spot in the play-in tournament.
“The good news was that it was really a good image. There was no damage,” Bucks coach Doc Rivers said before Tuesday’s 123-116 loss to the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers. “It was really just good news. But I don’t know the next part.”
