The Denver Nuggets will once again rest most of their regular rotation in Sunday’s regular-season finale against the San Antonio Spurs, focusing on staying fresh for the playoffs.
Three-time MVP Nikola Jokić is a notable exception and is listed as questionable. He needs to log at least 15 minutes to remain eligible for postseason awards.
Denver enters the final day as the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference at 53–28 but could drop to fourth if the Los Angeles Lakers win and the Nuggets lose. L.A. holds the tiebreaker.
Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, Cameron Johnson, Christian Braun, Tim Hardaway Jr., Peyton Watson and Spencer Jones are all ruled out for the game.
The Spurs, already locked into the No. 2 seed, may still influence the standings, as a win over Denver could push the Nuggets into a different playoff bracket.
