Fenerbahce Beko’s Tarık Biberovic has reached an agreement with the Dallas Mavericks on a multi-year contract to continue his career in the NBA, according to Eurohoops sources.
The forward was already on the verge of making this massive career leap after the Mavs acquired his draft rights from the Memphis Grizzlies, the franchise that originally selected him with the 56th overall pick back in the 2023 NBA Draft, presented by State Farm.
This agreement marks the culmination of a long development journey for the reliable sharpshooter, who has been with the Turkish powerhouse since 2018. Over eight seasons in Istanbul, he steadily established himself as a key rotation piece and a premier perimeter threat in the EuroLeague.
His latest breakout 2025–26 campaign featured highly impressive performances, during which he averaged 11.3 points per game in the EuroLeague while shooting a remarkable 41.9% from behind the three-point line. This outside accuracy caught the attention of front offices across the Atlantic, prompting Dallas to prepare a significant financial offer to secure his specialized services.
The official completion of this transition will trigger a substantial buyout fee payable to Fener, allowing the player to officially make his long-awaited leap overseas. As he prepares to transition to North America, the Turkish club loses a core player but secures solid financial compensation.
Meanwhile, the Mavericks add a highly efficient floor-spacer to their roster for the upcoming 2026–27 season, banking heavily on his international experience and elite shooting prowess to translate smoothly to the NBA.
