After spending eight seasons with Fenerbahce Tarık Biberovic, who decided to continue his career in the NBA, made his first on-camera appearance with his new team, the Dallas Mavericks.
Biberovic saw his jersey, got acquainted with the locker room, and also revealed how he ended up wearing the number 13.
“The story behind the number? My favorite number is actually 33. But, when I signed my first contract, I took 13 when I was 15. Actually, it’s a funny story. The equipment guy from Fenerbahce said 13 is going to suit you well and it’s going to bring you luck.”
The 25-year-old player, preparing to start his NBA career, expressed his excitement for the new era in Dallas while addressing Mavericks fans.
In his first message, Biberovic said: “Hello Mavericks family, I’m Tarık. I’m very excited and happy to be here. We have a lot to do, and I can’t wait to get started. Go Mavs!”
Biberovic, who joined Fenerbahce in 2018, will compete in the NBA for the first time in his career after spending eight seasons in the yellow-blue jersey. Tarık Biberovic is preparing to play his first NBA game with the Dallas Mavericks in the new season.
