The New York Knicks have a new replay challenge guy Ed Flynn, who will replace Jordan Brink in that role.
The use of challenges in the NBA has become one of the most important aspects, with increasing attention being paid to it. Teams now have someone on the bench dedicated to signaling the head coach on whether to request a challenge.
Jordan Brink previously did this job for the Knicks and did it exceptionally well. Some of his decisions and signaling to Mike Brown to request a challenge during the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs may have even had a decisive impact on the series.
However, Brink has moved to the Chicago Bulls, where he will work for Tiago Splitter, and the Knicks have found a new solution.
According to The Post, that is Ed Flynn, who worked as a video intern and coordinator with the Charlotte Hornets. In 2023, Flynn joined the Pelicans and left as their head video coordinator.
