Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic has filed a petition under international rules to have his daughters brought to the United States from Slovenia, according to a source briefed on the situation, as reported by “The Athletic”.

“Nothing is more important to me than my daughters. I will do whatever it takes to make sure they have both parents present in their lives,” Doncic said in a recent statement to “The Athletic”.

Luka Doncic’s daughters, Gabriela and Olivia, are presently in Slovenia, where he is involved in an ongoing custody dispute with his former fiance, Anamaria Goltes.

The couple got engaged in 2023 after having dated since 2016. It has been reported that the custody petition was filed in Slovenia, but due to local regulations, it cannot be publicly disclosed.

Goltes had filed for child support and legal fees in in Los Angeles last March but later withdrew the petition.
