Among several NBA blockbuster trades this summer, probably the biggest splash was made by the one between the Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks, in which Giannis Antetokounmpo joined the Heat.
Alongside Bam Adebayo, who scored 83 points in a single NBA game last season, Giannis will form a duo that will attempt to contend for the NBA title, and which received additional reinforcements over the summer, notably in the form of Klay Thompson.
Bam spoke about his partnership with Giannis during the “LeBatardShow,” where he emphasized that people still do not understand what the two of them can accomplish together because they have not seen it yet.
“I mean, you got two front court guys that can dribble, shoot, pass. You can rebound. Obviously, the defensive side is what it is. We know how great we want that to be.
But you have two guys going downhill that are very mobile, that have high IQ, that can pass. People are underappreciating it right now because they haven’t seen it, but as the time goes by people will learn to appreciate what we will do.”
Miami will start the regular season on October 21st, with the opponent in Florida being the Minnesota Timberwolves.
