Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr lauded Zaza Pachulia’s character and the positive impact he brings to the team.

The Georgian international center came off the bench for the first time during his stint with the Warriors in Thursday’s win over the L.A. Clippers and Kerr said that he is “lucky” to coach a player who understands how his role in the team might change.

Per Mercury News:

“Zaza is part of the moral compass of this team,” Kerr said. “He’s the ultimate pro. No matter what role you give him, he’s going to support his teammates.”

“We’re lucky to have them,” Kerr said. I’m lucky to coach him. This is not easy for anybody to go through something like this where you get taken out of the lineup.”

“But it’s all apart of being on a winning team,” Kerr continued. “You just keep going, you keep working and your chance will come around.”
