J.R. Smith got suspended because he threw a bowl of soup at Cavs assistant

Yesterday (1/3), the Cleveland Cavaliers suspended J.R. Smith for the game against the Philadelphia 76ers for “detrimental conduct”. According to ESPN, the reason that Smith got suspended was because he threw a bowl of soup at Cleveland Cavaliers assistant coach Damon Jones.

Smith is back at practices and will be a starter, as usual, in the upcoming game vs. the Denver Nuggets, Saturday, per ESPN. He chose to not speak to any media today.
