In his official statement, which was posted by Suns on twitter, Igor Kokoskov mentions that he is “thrilled” to be taking over as the Phoenix Suns’ next head coach after Utah’s season concludes and “proud” to be the first NBA head coach born and raised outside North America.”
The Serbian coach makes his return to the team after serving as an assistant from 2008 to 2013. “I’m just as excited to return to the Suns organization and Phoenix, my family’s home for the past 10 years”, he mentioned.
